ELEGANCE – Life size Head of a Saluki on a slate base
Saluki dogs are one of the most elegant breed of dogs I have come across. In this sculpture of a head of a saluki, I wanted to create movement using the ears and twist of the neck…I accentuated their long neck and ears in order to create that flow of movement in the twist. The nose is at right angles to the floor to give arrogance and superiority but his eyes are kind!
This is a life-size sculpture of a saluki, mounted on a slate base and could be positioned outside in a courtyard or as a statement piece on a side board where the height of the sculpture can be balanced with whats around it.
